​Dr Maria Ines Viola was born in Argentina and currently lives in Dubai, UAE with her husband and two daughters.

​

Dr Viola graduated from the University of Buenos Aires, with distinction in 2001. Post-graduation, as part of her internship in gynecology and reproductive medicine, she worked in Barcelona, Spain and North Carolina, USA, from 2001-2002. 

​

In 2003 she started her residency in OB/GYN at the Hospital Materno Infantil Ramon Sarda in Buenos Aires and qualified as an OB/GYN specialist in 2007. The hospital is accredited by UNICEF/OMS assisting high-risk obstetric patients and performs between 6000 to 7000 deliveries a year.

 

Subsequently, Dr Viola undertook a sub-specialization in infertility at IFER in Buenos Aires, where she trained and worked from 2007 to 2009. IFER, affiliated with the University of Buenos Aires, is one of the most prestigious IVF centres within Argentina and South America and completes approximately 1800 in-vitro procedures per year.

Midway through 2009, Dr Viola moved to Cape Town, South Africa, to take a consultant position at Tygerberg Hospital. It acts as a teaching hospital in conjunction with Stellenbosch University’s Health Science Faculty, where she also had lecturer and academic responsibilities. During this period, she completed her Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine at the University of Stellenbosch and in 2014 qualified as a sub-specialist in Reproductive Medicine at the College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of South Africa.

In early 2015, Dr Viola relocated to Dubai to work as an OB/GYN. Part of her job, is infertility, which she is passionate about and believes in a holistic and personalized approach (applying international and evidence-based standards) in providing exceptional care to her patients, giving them the support required to feel comfortable and safe.
